The American Foundation for Nurses has recently created a Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses working on the frontline of the COVID-19 response effort.
This is a direct way that the public can support and thank nurses in the USA. It is a national fund that is designed to get at the heart of nurses need during this unprecedented crisis.
The Foundation has stated that the fund will be used to help finance the following areas:
- Providing direct assistance to nurses
- Supporting the mental health of nurses – not only during the pandemic but in the eventual aftermath too
- Providing nurses with access to science-based information that will help prevent infection, and care for current patients
- Driving the national advocacy focused on nurses and patients
Johnson & Johnson and the TYLENOL brand have kindly stepped up with an initial donation to the fund in the amount of a $1.5 million grant.
The American Foundation for Nurses is also hoping to attract more grants from like-minded organizations as well as the general public that wish to show their gratitude to the medical staff that are facing the dangers on the COVID-19 frontline, every single day.
To support these nurses you can make a $10 donation by texting THANKS to 20222, or heading here to donate online.
